I had a few minutes today to chat with Ronnie about his Texas offer, which was one of the 7 that went out to Florida DB's yesterday. I asked him if the coaching staff had visited him recently in conjunction with the offer and he said no. Also said it was completely out of the blue, although he mentioned he is stoked about it.
He holds offers from 10+ schools and I asked him if he was still holding a lot of interest in Wisconsin and TCU (late last year he named WIsconsin as his leader). Based on his response to me it is safe to say that TCU, as of now, is the team to beat as far as his recruitment goes.
Hoggins already has 13 interceptions in 5 games for the Monarchs this season. He did confirm that he would be taking an official visit to Texas but hasn't had time to nail down an exact date.
