Uh oh

Maybe they dropped off an assistant since Mack had to hightail it to Austintown.

I'm losing way too much sleep over these delays. C'mon Mack,it's inevitable-- you're killing us man!

i echo your sentiments - specially since i am in a different time zone - i am seriously losing sleep !!!

I think this little nugget is a pretty big indicator that all is well. Mack had plans per the flight/recruiting schedule. Plans were abruptly changed, and he is being brought back to Austin. Whether the meeting with Mack, Patterson and Powers is tonight or in the morning isn't a game changer. The orders are in, Mack is being brought back to Austin, and what must be done will be done, whether Mack goes along willingly or not. Mack really needed to be out of town until the meeting with the BOR was done. No reason for people around Bellmont or otherwise to have access to him until he has something to say, i.e., what he will be told he must say. Once the meeting was done he was called to come back and stop visiting recruits.
My guess is he announces tomorrow before the banquet. I know it's supposed to be about the men on the team, but there's no better time. The family's together. Break the news and get them behind you for the last game.
This makes sense.

Seems plausible Mack would meet with the players after the meeting to announce his resignation. From there he could set the tone for the banquet by telling them the night is going to be about them, not him.

Until after the Heisman selection.

Think how awkward this would be, "here's AJ Mcarron and Texas' HC Nick Saban".

Stop worrying, it will happen when it happens!
