I forgot all about this guy. From my understanding he's eligible next year isn't he since he only pitched in two games this season? Can't believe I  completely forgot about this guy. If this guy is coming back man we are loaded. I think Marlow could end up being the closer.

Believe he is coming back. If I'm not mistaken he received a med RS. Not 100% certain on that though.

If you were guessing, who do you think ends up being the closer next year? I would think it has to be Duke, but if Marlow is healthy that may change things.

This post had me research him on-line.  Product of Giddings High. Initially signed with A&M.  After freshman year, transferred to McLennan Community College, where he hit for .359 his soph season. In 2013, at Texas, he made 2nd team All Big 12 as a reliever.  In 2014 season, as stated above, he pitched in only 2 games. Had surgery to fix an elbow tendon.  The guy is obviously a very good baseball player, batting or pitching. Dunno about whether he is coming back for UT next season.  I hope he does, next season is looming as a great one for UT Baseball. Never too early to get excited about next year's UT Baseball team!  This year certainly restored my faith in Coach Garrido and the long standing tradition of excellence regarding University of Texas Baseball.  Hook 'em Horns!!

Way too early to offer up any projection on Ty as a closer. Need to see how he has recovered from surgery in both summer ball and fall. He was effective two years ago, but arm surgeries are real tricky. Could come back stronger than before of could not. Wait & see is my best guess.

Yep should be back.  As far as closer I think Duke or Freshman Kyle Johnston gets that spot.  He should be a formidable stop man a la Duke's role this past year.

Ty will def be back. Matter of fact he will start throwing again tomorrow. Surgery went well and everything is on schedule. Hoping to be the closer if not will be used wherever he is needed.

Faith shouldn't be restored in garrido as much as should be glad skip is running a lot of aspects on the team. Garrido does a great job of talking and handling media. Kinda like your grandpa who has his name on the farm still but watches you do the work. Skip does a great job of getting team ready to play. Don't get me wron I like garrido a lot, but age catches all of us eventually.

Kyle Johnston's stuff is just flat out filthy.. With Ty and Duke, theres your rhp/lhp setup role, then hand the ball over to Johnston..
