1. Which coach turns the recruiting tide quickest, flips a 14 kid or two...and gets 15 class going?

2. Which coach do you want to do battle against the SEC as the face of the Tx. program?

Curious to see what others think

Saban!!! I think a couple of top flight recruits like Hootie Jones and Tony Brown will give serious thought to Texas with Saban. Hell, maybe even Leonard Fournette might come to Texas with Jermaine Roberts (although I still think LSU is on top for him).

I have been in the Briles or Saban camp...reason I asked, was thinking about Stong....I think he is way down the list on these two questions

Um....Saban or Briles. Both are master recruiters.

Any one that can win big here, which is a group of perhaps 15-20 guys at FBS/NFL level.

Damnit SHL...every time you post something like this I wanna ask if you've heard something new! Lol
No, nothing new. I did check in this evening. All that was really said new was that the Saban-less smoke is a good thing if you're wanting Saban.

I'm just at a point where I think the search has ended, the new coach has accepted (not formally yet), and all we're doing is waiting for an announcement. Patterson's due diligence is providing a ton of distraction in the meantime. If Saban pulls a Crazy Ivan, we'll have Harbaugh. I just don't think he goes ruskie on us despite the fact that I'm a little snakebit after last time.

Announcers just said that Tevin Reese was a 2 star wing T tight end at his school. Art finds guys, and yes I know he won't HAVE to find guys like this IF he is at Texas, but it doesn't hurt that he understands the value of finding guys that fit, rather than looking at stars, not saying that Nick does not, just saying Art is a hell of a recruiter too. It has to be more difficult to recruit to Baylor than it is to BAMA.

Fyi, Kendall Briles is regarded as one if the best recruiters in the country. Gotta assume he'd come with his Dad.

Got it. Thanks for updating. Actually thanks for all of the updating you've done up to this point! I can live with Harbaugh as a second option.
