Meet the stars of HBO season two of True Detective. Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn.

A quote from Farrell.

"I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot," he said. "I know very little about it, but we're shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids."

According to an HBO release

This run of "True Detective" will focus on three police officers and a "career criminal" all of whom "must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder." 

Farrell plays a detective with issues, and Vaughn plays a career criminal who has his plans to go legit turned upside down by the death of his business partner.

The female lead, who I presume will be Farrel's partner, is still under consideration.

No word yet on when we can expect a timeline for the showing of season 2.
