Traylor to Texas!

The Jeff Traylor File:

Jeff Traylor has been one of the top high school football coaches in America over the last ten years. Averaging 12.7 wins a year for the last ten, Traylor's Gilmer high school team compiled a 140-15 mark during that time. He has built one of the premier high school football programs in the country.

Traylor can maximize the potential within each and every player on his roster. Offensively, Gilmer runs an up-tempo spread system that puts points on everyone they play surpassing the 50-point total with relative ease. While Gilmer is often undersized up front, the have quickness, speed, and the athletic ability to beat you across the board and rely on an attacking swarming style of defense.

I've had Longhorn Network on for the past half hour... taped programs.

Why isn't this announcement made live on LHN the past 10 minutes?

Breaking News, all that. Instead I had to hear it on 104.9 The Zone, via Chip & Chad.

" While Gilmer is often undersized up front, the have quickness, speed, and the athletic ability to beat you across the board and rely on an attacking swarming style of defense."

Hope that permeates the offense and special teams with a big voice. And the team as a whole.

"To have the opportunity to join Coach Strong at The University of Texas was one I just couldn’t pass up. I have had chances to enter the college ranks before but this time it was just too good of an opportunity. I really believe in what Coach Strong stands for and I want to go help anyway I can.  I believe Coach Strong will return Texas to national prominence and I would like to be a part of that."

"Any time there is change there will always be some anxiety. Gilmer, Texas is my home and I've lived in East Texas throughout my life, my entire family is from around here.  This is the most difficult decision I've ever made, Gilmer has been nothing but wonderful to my family throughout the fifteen years with the Buckeyes."

"Despite what some media outlets were reporting, I wasn't offered the job by Coach Strong until Wednesday. I've always said I don't have a decision to make until someone actually offers me a job.  It didn't become real serious until he offered me the job on Wednesday, when he did that everything became very real at that exact moment."
