Just in time for Christmas, the Longhorn LED Third Brake Light is easy to install, fits all vehicles, adds visibility and is the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for UT alums and fans!
FUNCTIONS
The Longhorn Third Brake Light works in any vehicle and has two mounting options. Option one (shown in the video) is to affix the light to the vehicle's rear package shelf using the stand.** This is a great solution if you drive a convertible. Option two is to adhere the light directly to the rear window using the provided special, commercial grade, double-sided adhesive.
**The stand mount must be purchased as a separate perk. Adhesive mounting included with all Stoplight perk levels.**
The Longhorn Third Brake Light has several cool functions including:
Running Lights - When you pull the headlight switch either half way or all the way on, the LEDs around the periphery of the Longhorn light up.
Brakes - When you apply the brakes, all 62 LEDs in the Longhorn light up.
Turn Signals - When you use the turn signals, the corresponding horn's 6 LEDs illuminate in sequence, from the Head to the Tip of the horn, synchronized with the car turn signal's flash rate.
Emergency Flashers - When you turn on the emergency flashers, both horns "run" and the rest of the LEDs flash at the same rate as your vehicle's emergency flashers.

The Sports Stoplight story goes much deeper than a super cool light. It was originally designed by a group of dedicated UT mechanical engineering students participating in Formula SAE; a global student engineering design competition with teams from hundreds of colleges and Universities throughout the world.
The competition challenge? To design, build and compete a completely re-engineered racecar EVERY YEAR. From scratch.
The process takes months of planning, hard work, and dedication. The skills and experience the students gain is invaluable. They gain a cutting edge in the workplace. They learn to think like visionaries. These are the students who design the cars we drive, invent the products we use everyday and shape our world.
Unfortunately, the funds aren't consistently available every year to compete. So a dedicated team of five racing enthusiasts, who were deeply involved in Formula SAE and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) themselves, had an idea...To manufacture and offer the students' Longhorn Third Brake Light as a self-sustaining source of revenue for a UT Formula SAE Forever Fund. The 5 professionals, who are Sports Stoplights, have put in years without pay to bring this benefit to UT SAE, and 100% of the profits will go to UT SAE (the 5 members of Sports Stoplights won't make a penny!).
Your support will help us raise the seed money for the first round of manufacturing and will directly impact the UT Formula SAE Team.
