Todd Graham anyone?

You know Todd Graham has stayed just about as long as he can stand in Tempe. He's generally good for 1-2 years at a post. He's done a pretty good job with the Sun Devils. He's 18-7 in 2 seasons and earned the Pac-12 South Division title. He's a win away from a Rose Bowl berth. His overall ledger (67-36) isn't bad and he is from Texas and a former Texas high school coach. I've never been much of fan of his, but Patterson probably knows him as well as anyone. Just something to think about . . . .

I'm not sure Graham even fits into the Top 10 coaches I'd like to have but that's not to say he isn't a good coach. With that said, is there a clause that states Patterson can't take staff with him to UT?

Texas made a deal when they hired Patterson, not to hire any other Arizona State employees.

Memories of Graham's frequent-flyer past were rekindled after Texas lured Arizona State athletic director Steve Patterson to replace the outgoing DeLoss Dodds. Patterson's move sparked rumors in Tempe that Graham, a Texas native, might leave the Sun Devils to replace Mack Brown as the Longhorns' coach. But Arizona State officials said that a condition of Patterson's departure was that he could not hire anyone from his former school.

I think there are a few better options but if he were to come I would not be upset, as long as a good DC came with him.

When it comes to coaching Graham would be an excellent hire. But there's baggage that comes along with him that make me say no.
