SignUp Now!Of all the coaches, Kyle and Watson would have been my bottom 2. I don't think it's Shannahan. I think it's more like Riley or that there's serious negotiations going on in organizing a large buy out for an OC... Morris.my official guess is shannahan
This is the only reason why I think it is taking so long.Of all the coaches, Kyle and Watson would have been my bottom 2. I don't think it's Shannahan. I think it's more like Riley or that there's serious negotiations going on in organizing a large buy out for an OC... Morris.
It's only been a week since Strong's presser.I cannot believe how drawn out this entire change has been. That said, if they get the right people in place it will be well worth it.
He's coached a QB who used to be in one in college.Does Shanahan have any experience with up-tempo spread offenses?
You don't get a job in the NFL because your dad coached a team 10 years ago. The NFL is serious. Nor do I think Saban would bring on a coach for the same reason.Never said he wasn't a good WR coach. I said I don't think he is qualified to be our OC. I still believe he is where he is because of his dad...nothing wrong w/ that and he is making the most of his opportunity.
Easy, Red.Never said he wasn't a good WR coach. I said I don't think he is qualified to be our OC. I still believe he is where he is because of his dad...nothing wrong w/ that and he is making the most of his opportunity.
Too much egg. I think that's going take a while. This is Red's big chance to step up, wipe the egg off his face, show support for CS and re-committ himself to the team.
Wouldn't be worth $5M to me, but it might be to Red.
Obviously we are allowing our OC candidate to tie up some loose ends.
If its Shanahan, we are waiting on the Dolphins.
I believe the ship has sailed on Morris unless one of our BMD's step up and absorb the buyout.
Lincoln Riley & Groh remain as two intriguing prospects. With Wickline being named as a co oc, Texas needing a play caller and WR coach, I can see why Riley is receiving
fair consideration.
That's the traditional thinking anyway DocSnide LonghornAside.Just remember - the splashier the hire, the shorter the time he will be with us.
They're not signing Morris to less than 3 years and without a ridiculous buyout therein applicable to outside OC or HC offers.Just remember - the splashier the hire, the shorter the time he will be with us.
LOL - you have done the same thing I have. Drifted from a site that is eating it's own. That's the traditional thinking anyway DocSnide LonghornAside.Maybe Strong continues the Mack policy of the 3 year commitment request of his coaches.
Actually, Wednesday is the last day. You can meet on Thursday. What was the deadline Patterson set for the head coach hire? January 15?
When is the recruiting dead period end? Today is the last day, tomorrow coaches can hit recruits hard.
We better have somebody named today is all I'm saying.
