Great to see you posting here. I've heard similar to what you've heard from someone very close to Briles, however DeLoss and Mack being gone has removed the majority of the hurdle.

Hopefully, it doesn't matter and Saban comes to fruition but not getting my hopes up.

Thanks McPhaul! I believe 100% in your assessment. I understand that it may NOT be Saban and will not hold you accountable if it isn't. You have stressed all along that you want Fisher, so it isn't wishful thinking on your part. You can only report what you know from your inside source.

I am interested in your take on the fact that Kirby Smart did the press conference today at the Sugar Bowl? No Saban in sight and Smart was clearly under the weather. I hear Saban doesn't let assistants deal with the media.

briles hates UT...as close to briles level as it can get without it being briles himself and still having the same last name....briles is a smokescreen...

God, cujo, I hope so. I know I'm an old fart but I just don't want Briles. For oh so many reasons but suffice it to say, and this goes back to his time in the high school ranks where many of my kinfolk still make a living, Briles didn't miss an opportunity to defecate on UT, its history and, (some night remember this quote from a specific coaches convention in San Angelo), "...the most overrated university of nothing."

Sorry folks, (for me) he's just not the kind of person or leader that UT football needs right now.

Don't know that posters source but is basically what Jesus posted earlier today. I got the impression it meant something formal as obviously talks have been going. He expounded on some things but don't want to copy and paste
