Briles and Mora have now stated they are out, two guys that would surely take the job if offered. Is this a sign that a decision is in?

There is no reason to back out unless a decision has been made. No reason for a decision to be made without interviewing fisher unless.....

Either that or we've decided on our "floor" hire and informed Briles and Mora they aren't in consideration anymore. I hope that's not the case. If it is, i hope that Franklin releases a statement soon as well.

Or its a sign that we are running out of candidates. Wouldn't be surprised to end up with James Franklin at this point.

There are only three guys in my mind who we would have hired and at this point and called off the search. Saban, Shaw or Jim Harbaugh. Fisher would not have signed on yet. We wouldn't hire Franklin at this point. Don't think it is Harbaugh, clearly because he is still playing. Don't think Shaw is leaving Stanford. I like John Harbaugh, Gruden and Saban. I'd take any of them. But don't think John H or Gruden have been properly interviewed yet...or maybe I am wrong?

But can Saban defend the Spread? Hard to teach a 62 year old new tricks.

I'm kinda concerned about this as well. But he can always hire a great DC who can defend the spread.

Funny that Nick has been awfully quiet.
Why is it funny? Saban signed an extension and has already said multiple times that he isn't coming here, yet you people are expecting him to deny it every single day.

There is a zero percent chance saban is coming here. This is about as close to level 1 as you can get. It's time to move on

You need a drink. Nick can adjust easily. If he can't, we shouldn't be looking at him anyway.
