****The Official Texas vs. BYU Game Thread****

It's going to be interesting what happens with Harrison and Estelle. Our offense is going to struggle without those two guys.

We are a Volleyball School anyways

We are #3

Beat #11 Florida tonight

Putting BYU on a schedule willingly is horrendous stupidity.  They play grown men.  Everyone else plays 18 to 21 year olds, with a 22 year old thrown in.  It takes a toll.  They are stronger and bigger as a rule.

I watched it for the 17 years that I lived in New Mexico.

Not surprised with the ineffectiveness of our offense. The only surprise for me in regards to the defense is that we gave up a TD on the first drive of the second half.

Disappointing for the defense. They carried us in the first, but if you can't score your going down in flames. Defense can only do so much, must be very frustrating to them. Maybe we need to get some 25 year olds on our team (in addition to Boyer), at least they could legally go to sixth st without getting booted from the team!

I don't think the defense was tired the first two drives of the second half. They just kicked our ass. We still don't have the heart we need.

If Estelle and Harrison are going to miss a significant amount of time just get rid of them. Time to rebuild the roster and develop young guys.

The bright side is we will improve over the year, unless there are additional injuries.  I don't think Patterson is stupid enough to schedule BYU again, and I believe that Strong is the smartest coach we have had in over 25 years.

Any chance of ending this early due to lightning like the other game today? Nope, our guys need reps and game experience to get better. Painful to watch though.

Texas only has 2 really good defensive players, C Reed and M Brown. But not sure I've heard Reed's name that much tonight.

Q Diggs and J Hicks are pretty good although I'm not as high on Diggs as others are.

The rest are average at best.

This might be the least talented Texas has put on the field in years.

I'm sure the recruits attending next weeks UCLA game are pretty pumped right now. Hopefully they can look to the future and see Chuck's plan in motion.
