Playing at Ames at night is never an easy thing to do. Iowa State always gets up for Texas. This will not be an easy game for UT, especially if they haven't remedied the 2nd half slump thing.

On paper, this isn't even a contest. Texas has a great talent advantage over Iowa State. The difference will be the scheming. Can PK stop the 2nd half woes? Can Sark employ the killer instinct he talks so much about?

We'll see.

I think the one thing that gives me comfort here is that this team realizes what is in front of them. At 9-1, they already have surpassed a lot of expectations. But there's those goals still out there, and Texas must finish to achieve them. Win the conference. Get into the CFP. It's all still there for the taking if we play good football.

Not having J Brooks is bad, but I am confident with Baxter but also confident in Blue. I think Blue has an extra gear this year and now he'll have the chance to show that.

Gone the other way for the last few weeks thinking the dominant performance was at hand. Teuu hi off the reverse jinx method this week. Horns win 13–10.

my preview:
On offense - we will try to sustain long drives and have lots of balance. Not as many big deep shots/big plays due to the below.

QE3 is still recovering. He will dog it out but he will throw one INT this game because his arm isn’t 100%.
RB room will downgrade a little as we don’t have a proven RB like brooks that can get us tough and explosive yards. We have lots of talent and I expect them to step up but if Blue gets 10/15 carries then he will fumble.
WR/TE - Sanders will have a big day

Defense - same stuff as every week. Dominant against the run but leaky against the pass.

The night game doesn’t scare me. It’s our predictability when we go conservative, coaching game awareness and our pass defense.

We can win this game big if we brought out A-game but we struggle through it with a conservative game plan due to injuries and not being 100%. We are battle tested and know how to win. Hook ‘em!

Without our main running back, I don’t think we will score as high. So I’ll go with
Horns 26
Iowa st. 17
And with that win we clinch a spot in Big 12 championship game !!!!

Hope I’m wrong but we lose a lot there. Cyclones 27 Longhorns 24.
