So, we need to start paying to get recruits? I don't understand how no one in the media talks about this. Even on the local call in shows. I almost called in today to bring it up and hear their reaction.

I was just suggesting that we move to the pac-12 or big 10. I mean really the only other school noteworthy in our conference is OUsucks.

Yes we need to leave this conference behind. But the Big 12 matches up well with every conference except the SEC in terms of Top players per team. SEC averages 9 top players per team, while the B1G and Pac-12 are at 3.5, Big 12 comes in at 3.4 It also hurt that Texas had a down year in recruiting, though no one really knows how any of these guys are going to do once they get on campus. For every VY there is a GG.

It's all about evaluation and development.

It already is. And every conference not named the SEC is the same as another American conference. If you ain't SEC, you are SEC bait. So saith the ESPN.

ESPN is heavily invested in the SEC. They will do what they need to do to make sure their investment pays big dividends. They gave us LHN so we wouldn't wind up in Fox's hands while they carry on with their SEC money maker.
