With the hiring of Strong has it occurred to anyone how good the coaches are in the Big 12? Especially compared to other conferences - like the SEC?

Consider these guys:

Strong

Stoops

Gundy

Briles

Patterson

Snyder

Everyone says the Big 12 is a weak conference. I say nay nay, it is just the opposite. How would the bammys, tOSU's, USC's and, yes, FSU's do against coaches like these? Especially on the recruiting trail?

"Everyone" doesn't say the Big 12 is a weak conference. Our friendly farmers just bleat it so loudly and so often that it seems as if it's everyone saying it. As of late, head coach turnover in the SEC has been much higher than in the Big 12 (and its not because the SEC coaches are moving up or being hired by the NFL).

What do all those guys have in common other than Strong?

They have all won conference championships.
