I know I haven't logged in in quite a while but I ran across this story and felt compelled to share it with my Texas friends. According to Tom Fornelli from CBSSports.com, Barry Switzer's Memoir will be coming to a movie theater near you. From the article...

Switzer's memoir, The Bootlegger's Boy, will be adapted to a screen play.
Belle Pictures is actively developing a slate of projects, the first being an adaptation of The Bootlegger's Boy, legendary football coach Barry Switzer's memoir, which looks at his life and years coaching at Oklahoma University and the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.

Patrick Massett and John Zinmann (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Friday Night Lights) are in negotiations to pen the adaptation. Smith is producing with Thad and Trent Luckinbill, the brothers who brought the project to the Company. Alcon will finance the film.
This even makes ME sick.

I'm signing up for the midnight showing right now.

A Switzer motion picture will be even better than the last edition of people magazine! Whores, paying players, guns in airports and more! Ill get my popcorn and milk duds ready.

I like Mr. Switzer
