Apparently there were some heated exchanges after the post-game handshakes between the teams.  WVU was moving back towards Texas and Tres and Ben had a few choice words for them.

Let's see if your On-The-Spot Reporter Cotcher can get us some feedback on this development.

Funny how bad blood seemingly has developed between these two
Even more amazing is that it's manifested itself in three short years.

There is some serious animosity between the two baseball teams.

WVU is one of those teams that doesn't have quite the talent level that a Texas has, so they rely a lot on emotion.  Their antics coming from the dugout all weekend were about getting into the head of their opponents, and by doing this they can somewhat minimize the talent disparity if they can accomplish this.  Their HC is animated, sometimes too much so, and his players feed off of this.  Also, having a lot of Texas players on their team, many of these kids have a bit of a chip on their shoulder because they may have been passed over by some of the Texas schools.

They chirped all weekend long.  And when they lost the series, they didn't like being called out for it after the game.

Garrido talked about how most of the player's on WVU's roster had hoped to play someplace like UT, USC, LSU, etc and when they didn't realize that dream, they feel overlooked. Said the whole team plays with that kind of attitude.
