It's not pretty, in fact I have seen better middle school boys basketball games. However, the Longhorns survive and advance winning 59-54. Grind it out and move on.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked by it being a tough game after the run against quality opponents. Just glad they got out with the W!

Crazy stat of the night. We had 59 points and 56 rebounds. Crazy that we grabbed 25 offensive rebounds and still shot 30% from the field. We were flat, missing a key piece. I'm guessing the practice on Thursday is going to be crisp.

Big win. Good teams find a way to win on off nights. How many shots right at the rim refused to fall? Holmes is this team's MVP, and Ridley really stepped up at the end. Any notion that we'd be just fine without Felix should not be entertained any longer. The other freshman guards are nice bit role players but are not yet ready for a leading role.

Coaches actually like games like that. The team won, but the coach can say/work on plenty. A scare and having to grind one out shows the team it is not quite as good as maybe it was beginning to think it was.

Great win in very difficult circumstances.
