*** Texas vs. Rice Saturday Game Thread***

Big win. Even bigger confidence booster.

Rice players didn't even shake hands with Texas. Lol

Damn that was satisfying. Let's not assume the regional is over...we have to win one more (likely against Rice on their field).  but damn that was fun.

this is a funny team. First 2/3 of the regular season i thought they had 'it'. Later, they didn't have S**T. Now they have 'it' again.

but, by Gawd, it's fun to be in the postseason fray again, ain't it?

HOOK'EM!

FYI we want A&M to win tomorrow. They had to use their 4th starter against GMU in relief and they will use their 3rd starter tomorrow against Rice. That means they will have to rely on their bullpen 2 games against us (their bullpen is also pretty bad).

Utis

What you're saying may make logical sense.

But screw logic.

The next time I pull for aggy will be the first.

what's the back story on the rice pitcher who transferred from UT? our bench was riding him pretty hard (which i support wholeheartedly).

Also, they basically suck and shouldn't have even been in the tournament in the first place.

Well that was awesome last night... this morning. I stayed up and watched and was rewarded big time with an amazing win...

A few more thoughts on last night's win:

Fox is really, really good. He was 12-0 for good reason. Beating him and the Owls in that kind of game, after the rain delay/at 1AM...that is exactly the kind of win that can start to propel a team toward that feeling of invincibility that seems necessary to win in Omaha.

I'm really curious to see where it goes from here. I'd just as soon have the team face another galvanizing challenge and overcome it. Last night was a solid first step, but it won't carry them for a whole month.

That was as much emotion as I've seen from the team in 2-3 years. The Seniors are leading the way (emotionally) and that could go far.

Matt,

The fire from this team is great to see. I think that we beat whoever we play today. The next hill to climb will be in a Super. Enjoy this fellas; it's free baseball for the Horns.
