****Texas vs Rice Sat DH Thread****

Kid has some late movement on his fastball. Really like how he's doing after getting into a pickle in T1.

Ring 'em up Henley. That 6 for the frosh and a 3rd Êž. Texas goes into the bottom of 4th still tied at 1. Henley at 69 pitches (43 strikes)

Wow. O'Hara gives up a single to left. Rice's guy on 2nd rounds third. Travis Jones bullets the ball to home. Out at home and a winner winner chicken dinner for Texas to the tune of 5-4.

That was a heck of a throw by Jones!

Full count for Austin Todd, and he takes the 4th ball and now Texas has 2 on base off of 2 BB. Joe Baker up now to try and drive em in

Baker puts down the bunt. Pitcher bobbles it, throws it late to 1st. 1st base drops it and its E1. Joe advances to 2nd. Unearned run now 2-1

Wrong pitch for the frosh Canterino. Counts as a passed ball. Run scores. 2 unearned runs, but Texas will take em. Now 3-1 Texas.

Full count for Michael McCann and he hits a nice one to center. It drops and another unearned run crosses. Texas now up 4-1. No outs in B4th

David Hamilton takes ball 4 that was waaaaay outside. Men now on 1st and 2nd with no outs still. This inning has been nice for Longhorns.

Travis Jones is safe on some Augie ball. Bases loaded, no outs. This half inning has taken 30 minutes. Texas' best bat Kody Clemens is up

Kody Clemens with the full count and bases loaded, no outs. Swings through and the first out of the inning!

And thats the end of B4th on an L3-3 double play. Oh well, Texas still get 3 and now leads 4-1. On to the 5th!

LHN needs to invest in a radar gun, I always enjoy seeing the pitch speed. Just jumped on the site, so maybe this was covered earlier.

And thats a 4-3 put out. Henley is killing it in his college debut. Texas still leads 4-1 going into B5th. 80 pitches and 50 strikes for Henley. 4 backwards Ks and 7 K in total. 1 BB and 1 ER. I think that may have been his last inning.

Short fly ball just gets under the glove of a diving CF. Bret Boswell loves those type of hits. Now Kacy up to bat w/man on 1st.

Looks like another fruitful offensive inning is in the books for Texas as Todd takes a 4th ball to load the bases with no outs. This game will never end.

They used to show it. I'll ask around and see what I can find out.

Joe Baker with a marathon AB here.
