*****TEXAS vs. OU GAME THREAD*****

I think 7-11 in conference is the best case scenario, and after the loss last night, I have a hard time seeing that even happen.

There were several bad calls that went against Texas and I was waiting for Smart to get a "T" but he never did. Sometimes a coach can use that for motivation, does he not know this?

I was on the Smart bandwagon and I really thought he would have Texas winning and being competitive. Last night neither he or the team showed emotion while playing ou, friggin ou! Unless he turns this season around, this should be his last.
For the majority of the first half, they played well offensively.  They were actually knocking down shots. The second half was terrible.  There are a lot of games left.  I'm hopeful that they can turn it around, but it's doubtful that they will.

It won't happen, but I wish they would just pull the plug and put Shaka out of his misery. This will just continue to get ugly.

Also won't happen, but I really wish CDC would go money-whip Gregg Marshall in the offseason and bring him to Austin. I'm sure there are some other good candidates, but I really don't want to take a chance on an up-and-comer that does not have a proven track record. I can't handle another bust.

I guess you could also cheer for another first round exit from the Thunder and go throw a lot of money at Donovan. That's probably a bit of a pipe dream though.

We could always try to get Hoiberg away from that powerhouse Nebraska.

I am really tired of the explanations from Smart as to why we lost. He doesn't seem to be watching the same games I watch.

I'm wondering just how much the Pres/AD really care about BB.

Very little.  In what universe would a Longhorn football coach get past year 2 if they finished dead last?

Sounds like John Beilein will be available soon... Lol

And OKC may let Billy Donovan go if they finish 7-8 in the west and get eliminated.

Maybe convince LaVall Jordan to leave his alma mater of Butler. They look great this year. But he's still an up and coming coach.

Talk Gregg Marshall into leaving Wichita St.

Brian Dutcher at San Diego State?

There are a few names who may be interested. Billy Donovan would be my first choice. I think CDC will make a good pick.

I agree 100%.

He should just say the team isn’t good and the coaching sucks.

I'd like to hear him say they took far too many threes, didn't drive the lanes and finish or stop & pop. This team plays timid. That's why they take so many threes.

They apparently are coached to launch threes, dribble aimlessly and then drive into traffic, to not pass to the open post player,  and play without passion or purpose.
