B13 (cont) Bases loaded; 1 out; McKenzie to the hill

Placzek

1-0 down

2-0 down

2-1

2-2

3-2 and that pitch location has been called a strike all day.  Wow.  Heck of a time for him to change his zone

6-4-3 DP ends the threat; great turn, great stretch and catch by Tres

2 LOB

We're going to the 14th; 0-0

T14

Johnson

1-0 away

Singles through left side

CJ

1-0

1-1 shows bunt; takes a strike low

1-2 bunt foul

KS; 1 out

Personally, I don't like the show bunt, then pull back and swing.  That may work in softball, not in baseball.

Shaw

1-0 away

Checks runner

6-4-3 DP

And we go to B14; 0-0

Something to keep an eye on...Skip & Augie have been faithful to pitching matchups and a couple guys were used for less than an inning. There aren't a ton of choices left down in the pen.

This is also really putting pressure on Hollingsworth.

B14

Duke to P for Texas

Boldt

0-1 take

1-1 away

1-2 looks at one on theoutside corner

KS; 1 out

Cox

1-1 take

1-2 swing

KS climbed the ladder; 2 outs

Headley

0-2 foul

Chopper to SS, 6-3; 1 out

Cantu

1-1 take

1-2 look

6-3;

1-2-3

Headed B15; 0-0

This looks like a fun game. We played against Sinclair in the Minute Maid Classic and he was nails. Apparently the #2 is just as good.

May 31, 2009 - Texas went 25 innings with Boston College.

Just throwin' that out there for kicks.

B15

Lubach

0-1 fouled away right

1-1 down

1-2 fouled down left

HBP

Meyers

Checks runner

SAC Bunt; 1-3; 1 out

Runner advances to 2B

Darby

0-1 swing

0-2 swing

Single to LF, Johnson fields it, can't transfer it and drops it, throw home is off line and too late

Nebraska wins the game 1-0 and the series.

FINAL BOOK:

TEXAS 0/4/2

NU 1/8/0

WP: Chestnut

LP: Duke

There's the jinx.  Don't post that when Nebraska is up.  C'mon man!  Somebody send him Slim's hat to wear as penance.
