Texas vs. Manhattan weekend baseball series

Games will be on LHN, but the softball team is on right now.

Gordon pitched the top of the 1st other than a 5 pitch walk was able to get out of the inning quickly.

Texas got a run in the bottom of the 1st. Leads 1-0 after 1.

Not a fan of softball being shown instead of men's baseball. I don't have espn+.

Thru 3 complete. 1-0 Texas.  We have put  some on base, but haven't gotten the hits to break the game open yet.

It's now on LHN.

Thru 5 complete it's now 3-0 Texas.

Gordon has gone 6 innings- 94 pitches, no runs, no hits, 9 strikeouts, and 4 walks.

Horns softball ismuch better on the eyes than baseball.

We are thru 8 complete and Texas finally broke it open in the bottom of the 8th with a 4 spot. It's now 8-0. 

Actually Gordon had only 3 walks. Manhattan has only 1 hit in the game.

Texas wins 8-1, but gave up a homerun in the 9th.

Strong performance by Gordon. Competition level was not great but thats a good starting line regardless.

Offense still lacking overall. Some unearned runs sprinkled in helped us out. I think LOB will be a key stat this season, it was 13 today.

Texas gives up 1 run on 2 hits after the 1st out in the top of the 1st.

Bottom of the 1st for Texas.  3 runs, 7 free passes ( 1 hit batter and 6 walks) no hits.

Bottom of the 2nd: 2 more runs on 3 hits. 

It's 5-1.  @Joeywa do you agree with the hitter interference on the double steal in the bottom of the 2nd? Keith and Greg didn't and thought that maybe the home plate ump had called a time delayed strike.

Thru 5 complete it's 6-2 Texas.  Zane Morehouse went 4 innings- 5 strikeouts 2 runs with 4 or 5 hits.

After the top of the 7th inning it's  now 8-4.

Now if watching on LHN, the softball games will follow the baseball game.

Softball has a double header tonight.

Texas wins 10-4.

Texas was out hit in the game, but Texas got 15 free passes scoring 5 or 6 of the free passes.

Going for the sweep on Sunday.  

Texas pitching I believe has 25+ strikeouts so far in the series.

Game is at noon. So, really a 11:00am start before the moving the clock ahead 1 hour.

So, the game has started, but for some reason LHN is still showimg the Wisconsin v. Bama softball game.  Maybe ESPN is hoping people will buy the ESPN+. I have the radio free streaming on or you can follow @Joeywa on Twitter. 

Anyway, Texas had a 1-2-3 top of the 1st. Texas is hitting in the bottom of the 1st. 1st 2 are on for Texas.
