Texas vs. Kansas weekend series

Weather sounds like it shouldn't be an issue. There was lite rain during practice yesterday when Texas got to practice on Thursday.

Top 1: Texas gets a 2 out RBI double by Guilimette.

Texas leads 1-0 heading to the bottom of the 1st.

Nothing doing for Kansas.

Gordon has some issues in the 2nd. Allowing Kansas to tie up the game thru 2 complete.

Gordon gives up a solo shot to start the 3rd.

Thru 3 complete 2-1 Kansas

Top of the 4th. Texas gets a solo homer from Guilimette.

Game is tied at 2 thru 4 complete.

We are in the top of the 5th.  With 2 on and 2 outs.

Wild throw to 1st from the pitcher allows Thomas to score from 2nd and Powell is now on 2nd.

Texas gets the lead back 3-2. Halfway thru the 5th.

Gordon doesn't make it out of the 5th. He gives up a double followed by a 2 run homerun and another run.

Kansas is leading 5-3.

Shaw is now in.

Shaw has a wild pitch and then gives up a 2 RBI hit.

Thru 5 complete 

7-3 Kansas.

Wheels are falling off here at the end of the season.

Hurley comes on to start the bottom of the 6th. Gets the 1st 2 guys on base.  Hurley gives up 2 more runs. It's basesloaded with 1 out.

Kansas has 13 hits, which most are extra base hits.

Finally thru 6 complete 9-3.

Texas does get 1 run in the top of the 8th.

9-4.  Going to the bottom of the 8th.

Max Grubbs is now on in the bottom of the 8th.

Grubbs gets only 1 out and leaves with 2 runners on.

Kobe M. is now on in the bottom of the 8th. 

At least LBJ is starting tomorrow at 2PM. Hopefully, he can go for several innings on Saturday.

West Virginia beats ou sux in Morgantown.

This team has no pitching and inconsistent hitting. UT deserves more.

Gordon did not have a good game, first time this year. This happens. Big difference is Horns gave 7 walks, JayHawks 0

As for as pitching goes Mac. softball ace gave up 5 runs and did not get an out. Ladie Bears 9-1.

Nothing going on the 1st for either team.

LBJ does strikeout 3, but also had a walk in the 1st.

0-0 in the top of the 2nd.

Texas gets 5 runs on 6 hits with 1 homerun in the top of the 4th.

Texas leads 6-0. 

Bottom 4th, Kansas after 2 strikeouts get 3 hits  scoring 1.

After 4 complete 6-1.

LBJ does have 8 strikeouts so far.
