The Texas Longhorns travel to Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday for their first Big 12 road game of the season. Tom Herman’s team is favored to beat the Wildcats, but as recent history has shown, the Longhorns haven’t fared well at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Texas teams have lost six of the last seven in the Little Apple, including six straight there. Snyder, who has spent 27 years as head coach of the Wildcats, is 10-8 against Texas and 7-1 at home against the Longhorns.

Texas defeated Kansas State 40-34 in double overtime last season in Austin, courtesy of Chris Warren’s 2-yard run. Texas QB Sam Ehlinger threw for 380 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

A little bit of anxiety on both sides today.  Big game for both teams.

Anxious to see how the offense looks with Herman calling plays today and Beck being out.  Beck is Ehlinger’s sounding board on the sidelines.  Folks are quick to criticize play-callling but Tim Beck is a huge asset for the texas QB’s.

If only we had a WR that used to be a quarterback that could have f##king thrown that pass... HEARD!

Liked the play calls on the first drive, just need a bit more accuracy out of Ehlinger.

Why get cute on that drive when you were picking up good chunks on the ground and short passes? Now had LJH completed that pass I probably would've said great call.  Ah, to be on the couch calling a game.

Love this freshman class.  All of them are making good to great contributions so far.
