Texas vs DBU (recap & post-game added)

With the new ball most everyone's hitting numbers were probably better this year.

Plus the fact that the conference sucked this year probably had a lot to do with it as well.
I truly despise dealing with your shit in a game thread.  STFU or leave.  You have no idea what you're talking about.  You're only here to bag on Texas, the players and the coaches.

Apologies to those following along in support of the baseball team.

Post game comments-

Skip:

"Augie talked to them, said that they've been through enough adversity this season and they didn't give up on each other."

"They showed the true spirit of being a Longhorn and never quitting."

"Today they (DBU) came out swinging the bats well in the 3rd inning and it just didn't happen for us today."

"We wanted to make sure we got Connor out there and Johnston and Malmin as well to get the regional experience for them next year"

"We'll say bye to the seniors and reassess what we have and put a work plan together for the fall.  Determine what we want to get accomplished for the fall."

Exactly Bear. They had 16 hits to our 3.

And I know it may sound cliche, but their P was really locating his fastball well and at well over 90 MPH consistently.  His curve ball was off today, but he had a change that was also locating.  Really solid outing by Taylor and it shouldn't be overlooked how well he pitched today.  It was just their day.

Been fun boys and girls.  Thanks for joining in.  We'll do this again soon.  I'll still be watching the CWS this weekend, so pop into that thread and give your thoughts and feedback.

Hook Em!

Matt, joeywa and everyone else, thank you very much for your coverage this season. it's been fun, informative and a real disappointment in Slim's hat. I hope its corpse is disposed of properly.

Sorry, got side tracked there. Seriously though, y'all did an excellent job and I had fun following it.

When you boil it all down we were a .500 team that had a nice 4-game run in the conference tourney. Talent, coaching, effort? Don't know. But you are what you're record says you are.

But now comes the real story. Augie 2016. Yay or nay.

Due to a family commitment, I wasn't able to watch the game today but it appears I didn't miss much from the Texas side.

Thanks to all for the updates this year. Let's hope the team comes back really hungry next year.  HOOK'EM!
