SignUp Now!but he DID try to bunt the guy from 2nd to 3rd and it went foul.good exercise for them but that's all it is. exercise. it's too f'cking late for this game.
not sure it was all culbreath's doing. that first hit was a fluke double into the mud, but the second (a little lucky) and third were the result of a coach not succumbing to a "book" small ball strategy and the result was a big ol' crooked run inning.
that's how its done, augie.
screw bunt'em up, bunt'em over. time to swing away.
oh, and not take perfect called third strikes. geezus.
sorry for the negativity, but unfortunately that's all i can see right now.
As much as I hate the "show bunt, pull back and slap hit," it was effective for DBU that inning.
Its the same team and same baseball...The difference is we are playing good teams now. In Tulsa we played two crap teams in Tech and Baylor, and an OSU team that likes to choke, as witnessed yesterday in their regional. Texas finished third to last in a weak conference. Next year needs to be a **** or get off the pot season for Augie, unless Patterson pulls the plug this June.Back to guys trying to be heroes instead of playing baseball like they did in Tulsa.
Totally disagree. This team is pressing (something they've done all year when playing from behind). Its the same team and same baseball...The difference is we are playing good teams now. We ran into two teams that have GOOD hitting coaches, and quality pitching....Things we need in order to get back to being TEXAS BASEBALL.

Agreed Matt. Big12 this year had more parity than just about any year I can recall in recent history.Totally disagree. This team is pressing (something they've done all year when playing from behind).
I also don't think there are many "crap" teams in the Big 12, but do think OSU & DBU are solid.
