Texas vs. Cal-State Fullerton weekend series

We have extra innings as Texas gets a 2 run homerun in the top of the 9th.

Peyton Powell gives us a lead in the top of the 10th.

Texas gets a lead in the top of the 10th only to get tied in the bottom of the 10th.

Texas loses in the bottom of the 11th. 5-4.

Last year’s team found ways to win. This year’s, thus far, finding ways to lose.
offense has been bad.

I wonder how hot the water is for Pierce. Made major staff shake up last year and it is looking like the replacements haven't improved anything.

I don't think he should be fired at all for one bad year but there seem to be whispers.

Apparently his sraff moves upset some people. Losing Tullo was perceived as very bad...Pierce has no friends in the program.... reminds me of the Herman situation.... If the season goes south I could see Pierce getting popped.

Kind of the same thing I've been hearing. I think the question is how south the season has to go to be let go?

At the rate it’s going, they won’t even have a winning season, much less a post season appearance

I seem to remember a team that started off shaky and ended up in Omaha.  Pearce has shown to be a good coach.  I’ll reserve judgement for later.  Gotta get a feel for the players IN game situations.  It’s way too early to be talking about a hot seat

I hope you are right. The schedule lends itself to getting things right as they play at home against "lesser" competition. That being said, they went 3-3 vs Indiana and Fulerton. Neither is very strong.

Look at what Texas lost starter/production-wise.  A lot.  They’ll get it figured out and going in the right direction.
