While I understand the frustration with the offense and stranding baserunners, I also think it's important to recognize the job that Morales did once he got in trouble. Quite frankly, the way he pitched after there were guys on base was how I expected him to pitch the entire game. He did a helluva job when he needed to.

Quite frankly, the way he pitched after there were guys on base was how I expected him to pitch the entire game. He did a helluva job when he needed to.

Watched the game with an MLB scout. He said Morales was very much in the discussion for their first round pick, and although his mechanics are a bit awkward, the kid wins games.

Hardly an indictment of small ball. The only run we scored was on a squeeze bunt.

Too many LOBs, needed just one clutch hit and couldn't get it.

And if the wind blows that hard from that direction all week you may not see a single HR.

My thoughts exactly, stp.  I'm not certain A-Rod on steroids could have hit it out of that park today with that wind.  I did think we could have kept the ball down a little and placed it a little better.

I blame joeywa. If you had had the foresight 19 or so years ago to not have a daughter graduate from high school today and was able to do your customary job of pbp today we win pure and simple. Hey btw congratulations to your daughter and her I'm sure proud daddy, what an amazing Father's Day present. Great job my friend.

I think Augie has started to recruit some of the bigger power types. Cantu, Barrera and McGuire all hit for power in high school. There were a couple years where I kind of questioned what Augie was doing in terms of recruiting, but he's recruiting some power hitters now. Just takes a little time to see results because they are all young.
