I am not smart enough to get the quote and a reply to work at the same time. Joey do you think we are to predictable with our bunting?
Sorry, just getting time to reply to this.

Is Texas too predictable with bunting?  In my opinion, yes, but with the caveat that there are certain situations in college baseball where bunting is going to be very predictable.  In this age of the new bats, you see more and more teams bunting with a leadoff man on and either a tie game, team leading by 1 or trailing by 1 or 2.  It's just expected.  Now, on Gurwitz's bunt attempt in B8 that he popped up, that wasn't expected, but I do believe he saw the 3B playing back and he was trying to make something happen by bunting for a single.  I also believe Shaw had a bunt for a single in the earlier game today, and he took the liberty to do so because he also saw the 3B playing normal depth.  If you watch a lot of college baseball, and not just Texas, I think you will see that the bunting is more the norm, and Texas is not the exception to the rule.

Oh well. Augie hates the Big 12 tourney. Just uses up pitchers before the NCAA. Hope we're ok without it.

Guys, Texas in the tournament.  Texas will be playing in a regional.  I didn't think before this tournament began that we'd host a regional, and I haven't changed my stance on that.  I think we are better off playing away from DFF.

The preseason book on this team was that they would be a 4th place team in the Big12.  A 4th place finish in the tournament, and that's about what/where we are.

A post-season berth in the tournament is what was expected.  NOTHING more.  Anything after a regional is gravy.
