Spring Game goes down at 6:30 pm. Game will be televised on the Longhorn Network.

Excited to see what Ash does as well as the 2nd & 3rd team qb's.

Hopefully Manny has made us proud with improvements on defense.

Talk about it here.

Hook 'em!

A reminder on Ash:

6'3, 223 lbs.

Dude has some size.

After a handful of plays, instant analysis:

Jonathan Gray looks really good. Very fast.

The no-huddle offense is in full effect.

Case MCCoy shows up at QB for the 2nd team offense.

Ash looked good up until that bad shovel pass that Jordan Hicks picked off.

BTW - Swoopes looked really good in his drive.

David Ash threw another pick - this time to Adrian COlbert (tipped ball).

Ash has 2 picks at the half as Texas leads the Horns 24-10.

I need to be talked of this bridge.

The game I watched was filled with the same problem at quarterback. Ash and McCoy have been a curse. Ash threw one good pass, and that was to a receiver who was twenty yards behind the cornerback. McCoy looked like the same guy as well. Both have no pocked presence, no arm strength and both will let us down, again, in games against quality opponents. I see neither of these guys beating OU.

My vote is for #18. He looks a lot like Vince and the more pressure he got the better he looked. My depth chart would be Swoopes the starter, and unless he is injured, no backup. We might not win this season, but I don't think we win with Ash or the watcher, and in a year Tyrone will be a beast.

and...I am never wrong!

FINALLY! Something I can agree with. So tired of hearing everybody slurp Ash in the hopes he's not the same garbage QB he has been since entering campus. I can't stand that kid as QB and McCoy rode in on his last name and has been nothing but a failure. Ash is a TERRIBLE QB, TERRIBLE! How people think he's made some amazing progression in a couple few months I don't know. We all know Ash is garbage. Tyrone and Overstreet... Ready annnddd go!

Tyrone Swoopes took on the first team defense and worked them over, flat-out. I saw more upside from Swoopes than I did from Ash or McCoy after 2 years. I'm giddy. I thought for sure Swoopes would redshirt but I do not think there is a chance in hell he does. Swoopes IS Megatron.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOK "EMMMMMMMM!

I love that he(Swoopes) is well exceeding the downplay he was getting by several scouts. However, I think if we are gonna force Ash's sorry ass into the starting position for the next two years, I'd rather redshirt him this year. If he doesn't redshirt I'd like to see him play. I'd take a down year in the name of developing a solid QB rather than ANOTHER(3rd) down year from a dude who has no upside. Why lose a year of eligibility if the staff is just gonna ride the ShitShow that is Ash?

I didn't get to see the game... Did Swoopes work the 1st team D legitimately or did the D look to be the same inept bunch from so much of last season?

He juked the boys out consistently and when he scrambled for 20 yards he t-boned the cornerback that came up to try and stop him. He's so damn big. I didn't think he was terribly fast on his feet but when the wheels get rolling he is hard to bring down.

A polished passing game would undoubtedly benefit Swoopes to be even more lethal with his scrambling ability.

Some raw film on the Spring Game (I think Swoopes is playing at the 5:00 mark

Thanks a lot! I would def like to be hearing more positive things about his development as a passer. Hopefully that comes along.

I love J Gray! Kid is damn good... Im a pretty big fan of our backfield.

Why isn't brewer getting any love? He appeared to have a quick accurate release from that video.

Seems like McCoy should get removed to allow QBs with potential to actually get a shot.

Take a look at Overstreet also. Dude did pretty damn well in my opinion.
