180 is a tiny jump to Michigan at 169 for 15

I know people want the jumpman. But I don't see how you could want anything other than KD repping the Longhorns. That's insanely good marketing and a hell of a recruiting statement.

I'm surprised Michigan is gonna brand their football team Jumpman, too. I only wanna see Texas Hoops in the KD brand

For whatever it's worth, Nike has more products to fit the entire athletic department for all sports as well as many more choices per item. They also make better deals because they can. We have looked closely at what everyone in this business has to offer, and it's surprisingly not even close. Those that choose differently, either have a relationship that draws them away from NIKE, or a deal is made that Nike choses not to compete for....or, there is something I am missing, which happens often.

My daughter was on the rowing team at Texas in '05 and '06.  The amount of Nike gear they got was insane...5 sets of workout shorts and Ts, shoes, warmups, hoodies, sunglasses with 3 sets of lenses...the list goes on.  Easily $1500 of gear (retail), maybe more.  All of it with Longhorn logos.  Let's just say it's good to be an athlete in a program that has a big time football program.

"Done deal for Texas and Nike.

As HD has reported, look for the Kevin Durant "kd" brand to be worn by all sports -including football - beginning in the 2016-17 school year.

Also, look for an eight-figure contribution from Durant to Texas as part of a thank you for continuing UT's relationship with Nike and rocking the KD brand."
