Texas has offered Jackson Carman out of Fairfield, Ohio and Nana Asiedu out of Stafford, VIrginia. Both are elite prospects for the 2018 cycle.

Tom Herman and his staff are already showing they aren't afraid to get involved for elite national prospects and not staying confined to the state of Texas.

Glad to see this too. I've never quite understood why we'd let other top programs do this all day long but we wouldn't. Mack and co always framed it a dedication of resources vs. likelihood of return issue. But it always seemed lazy to me.

I've heard from a couple of friends on the inside that Mack wouldn't go after a OOS recruit unless we had some sort of "in" with said recruit. I agree, I think Mack was a tad lazy in the latter years, perhaps not so much in the earlier years (Chris Simms).

Herman takes the "plant a seed, see what grows" approach and I like it. I can relate to it as a landscaper. Not everything grows that you plant, but some of it will. And if you're taking care of bidness in the home state – the OOS stuff will pay big dividends in the long term.

Any other information SHA in terms of recruits?
