Texas - National Champions in Basketball 1932-33

I learned something new tonight. After hearing of the Men's Swimming & Diving team winning it's 12the NC, I was looking around at total NCs for Texas and per the below web-site, it's claiming Texas has a NC for basketball. I never knew that.

BTW, if Texas used the same source that aggy did giving it's football team 3 NC's, Texas would have 13 NCs.

No doubt. Texas doesn't claim that title though. Texas could claim more national titles in several sports if it was like aggy.

I know Texas doesn't claim it, I was just surprised to see Texas won one in basketball period! I knew Texas Western (now UTEP) did but I thought that was the only basketball title this state ever won.

 
Our 1932 NC in men's hoops makes us the aggie of college basketball!
No, as utbomb states, Texas doesn't claim it like aggy does. Texas can't stop a web-site from claiming them as NCs.
