81-69. Texas moves to 17-4 overall and 6-2 in Big 12 play.

Ridley and Holmes were swatting flies all day out there. Fantastic win for Texas!

Ok, most had penciled this one in as a loss. We're sitting in excellent position right now. We just need to keep winning and having fun out there.

If they get through the final stretch of the regular season, they're a legitimate tournament team, and not a "one and done" one either. Barnes has hopefully saved his job...he's done a masterful job.

Croaker missed his grandmother's funeral today to be part of the team, prayers sent his way.

I was giddy about the possibility of being a 5 or 6 seed. What I saw today makes me think we can do better. Hats off to Rick Barnes and this team for the tough play. Nothing short of amazing.

Just about to post the same but not use giddy.

Myles Turner enjoyed this game more than anyone predicting him to anyone but Texas thinks. This was huge for Turner. Texas is going to be a more complete team than Kansas next year before considering Turner.

Embid (sp?) is tall and good around the rim, but that is all. Ridley abused him, and he fumbled the ball or fell trying to move around him several times. I would think he returns to KU next year for more development. The pundits here believe Turner is not considering KU, but if he cares what Embid does, I think he stays.

As a Rick hater, I really, really have to tip my hat to him and what he has done with this team. I am finally pumped up about watching our BB team again and that has everything to do with Rick's ability to get this young team prepared. The future is bright for this team, both this year and next!!

Hook 'em Rick!!

Every B12 campaign KU plays a game with their head totally up their arse. Yesterday was that game......Texas took full advantage of this and dominated. If you punch KU in the mouth, they will buckle on the road. When it happens at the Phog, their crowd is normally enough lift them up.

As for Texas down the stretch.....a strong inside game and great guard play will take you deep. We got our ticket to the dance punched yesterday (but don't tell the team, they need to keep playing with intensity).

One advantage with a team this young, I believe, is they don't know their limits. After all, isn't that why 18 and 19 year olds have been sent into combat for years. Too many times, experience teaches one to expect failure at a certain point, failure which is unnecessary. It is the well-known disease of many posters, and one I have fallen prey to on occasion.

Rick has this team going in the right direction, and the chemistry is incredible. I'm excited for the team, Rick, and for us.

Hook 'em!

Stevie Clark just got arrested again for Oklahoma State, which means he's probably going to be kicked off the team. Really hurts their depth at point guard, which will help Texas. Still hate to see it.
