Opportunity knocks for Chris Adimora.

What I've heard is that Adimora was listed ahead of Cook on the latest depth chart. Didn't like that and combined with some question to his love of the game, it was his call.

He's been a good player, a good team mate (I've heard he's super nice). Wish it could have worked out differently but I wish him the best.

Agree, but why announce it like that? "I will not be playing another snap for the University of Texas."

Wow, people went crazy.  Cook has since deleted the tweet and Josh Thompson tweeted out for everyone to relax and everything is good.

My guess would be frustration. Cook has been a hard worker from all I've been told. I'd imagine it was a bit disheartening to learn he was backing up Adimora, a player a year younger than he is.

Probably so, SHA, but with new coaches and no spring football, I doubt that starting positions are set in stone yet. What does Adimora have that Cook can't overcome?

I've always read that Cook was more of a technician than a skills guy which I think should put him squarely in the mix for a starting job. I hope he realizes that until actual practices occur the depth chart is just a formality.

Yes. Tweet deleted and supposedly Cook is back on campus.

If he is back on campus, I am really glad.  This is a strange year for all who had abbreviated years. 

No one really knows what is going to happen in the Fall.
