First game today was shortened due to the mercy rule in 6-man football.

The second game today was exciting. 

Windthorst scored on 2 point conversion with 26 seconds to defeat the three time repeat champion, Mart.

It is great to see the emotions of kids enjoying playing football. The last play  was like the ABC Wide World of Sports: "The thrill of victory...and the agony of defeat."

I am looking forward to watching three games tomorrow and Friday.

Our newest Class of 2021 Longhorn RB, Jonathon Brooks, plays for 3A Hallettsville tomorrow night @ 7 PM on Fox Sports Southwest.

Can't believe Mart lost!  

Me either!  Kinda think they got hosed.  I didn't see the offsides penalty on the extra point. But Mart had plenty of opportunities to put that game away and just didn't.  Heck the drive before The receiver dropped a touchdown pass that would have put the game out of reach. It is what it is. Congratulations to Windthorst on winning the state championship!

That was an exciting game! I'll be interested to see where the Freeman kid goes. I remember watching James Washington playing at Stamford and then Ok State and now the Steelers.

That was a tough loss for Franklin. Both teams left it all on the field.

Franklin keeps getting in the neighborhood. If you get in the neighborhood often enough, you are eventually going to win it.

Last night was a great game...  got home in time to see the end of Franklin / Canadian (wow!), now Jim Ned / Halletsville is close. Exciting stuff so far! Brooks’ balance is impressive, but he just fumbled.
