The Longhorns beat Texas Tech 73-57 on Saturday to finally notch a win in conference play. They had not won in nearly a month (28 days to be precise) and it was much needed. Ridley finally played well (particularly in the first half) and Papapetrou finished with 15 points, Julien Lewis finished with 18 points and SHeldon McClellan finished with 10 points. Demarcus Holland came off the bench and scored 11 points.

Texas only turned the ball over 10 times, which has to be the lowest on the season. They shot 46.3% from the field.

Dare I say they played a "good" basketball game? We need more of this from the guys.

Up next is Kansas State on Wednesday in Manhattan.

Maybe we turned the corner but you never know. Nice to see the young guys step up and take control. Ridley MUST step it up. He needs to use his size to tear shit up.

I wasn't able to watch the game but this was a must win game and sounds like it was a good performance. The two big guys (Ridley, Ibeh) really need to continue to work hard and develop. Their improvement coud really benefit this team.
