Good gosh almighty what is it with these kids these days nobody wants to go 9 anymore. What the hell Baizer were you on a pitch count or something? What would Austin Wood do?
I had to record a show. We got through half way though. I'm just not finishing anything today...

Thank you gentlemen for the hard work. It's nice to be able to catch up on the game when I can't watch it!

LOL WUT?   Oh boy, this is gonna be a fun one to banter about.

Please, for the love of God, tell me that you are technologically capable of recording a show remotely from your laptop or phone through your DVR at the house.  And was it a show on HGTV?  Asking for a friend.

Hey joeywa, I have some buddies that are already down on the team because of the 3-1 series loss to Stanford. Based on the performance of the Horns in other sports, I think they're in a dark place right now.

Anything I can tell them from what you've seen from the baseball team to convince them to hang in there?

I'm hoping he meant he had to record a radio show or something, but I like yours better, that'd be much more fun to discuss lol

Not Joeywa but I have a few thoughts:

Don't panic. This team can throw the baseball. Every starter we've seen has had tremendous fast ball command. Someone will step up and be the back end guy. There are too many arms for someone to not grab the bull by the Horns (pun intended).

I'm more convinced than ever this team will hit. Stanford and Rice have amazing staffs, on par with Tech and TCU.

Where we are still lacking is the FU I'm going to stick it straight up your ass guy. I think it's there I think it's one of the young guys and when they find their voice, that is when this team will take off.

This team will be a lot better in the 3rd week of April than the third week of the season.

Stark has some good points.  I'd tell them that Rome wasn't built in a day.

I see flashes of having some of the pieces in place.  True freshmen are really starting to show contributions in all areas, defensively, pitching and hitting.

Veterans such as Boswell and Kacy Clemens are hitting well, (.333 & .304 respectively,) and Michael McCann is making a case to see more playing time with his .438 AVG, albeit in a far smaller number of ABs.

Pierce will use the remainder of the non-conference slate to see if he can find the right combination of veterans to fill the spots and contribute as needed.  Guys like Mathis, Cantu, Jones and Gurwitz should all be swinging the bat better.  Gurwitz may see some time off after tweaking that hamstring running to 1B last night.  Jones is the most likely to make strides in the hitting department before Cantu or Mathis, IMO.

One other note, our current RPI is 87th in the nation.  It will go nowhere but up as we face the following: UCLA (109) A&M (53) Texas Tech (10) Kansas St. (42) Kansas (179) OU (48) Baylor (3) New Orleans (97) Ok St (67) TCU (7) WVU (52)

There are some Tuesday games mixed in with lower RPI teams, but this is a good idea of how tough our schedule is over the next two months.  It will be a grind.

Texas sports fans have had a rough ride over the last few years, and are not only grasping at anything they can for a winner, they are extremely unstable in both their expectations and reality when it comes to new coaching staffs, cycling through what they took over and creating their own identity.

Tell your buddies to relax.  College sports as a whole are very cyclical.  Texas Baseball will turn around.  We are playing better baseball now than we were the last couple of years of Augie's tenure.  There is a new energy there, and the coaching staff understands what it will take to succeed.

And gentlemen, for tonight, it's throwbacks
