Texas Baseball Recruiting

I clicked on every link above and can't find any name. Wish you guys wouldn't depend so much on Twitter.

Thanks. Guess I'm just a dumbass. But Twitter drives me crazy and I'm vowing never to open Twitter again.
You're not a dumbass. Twitter takes some getting used to. As someone who isn't familiar with the format, you probably find it nonsensical and frustrating. It took me a while to get used to it as well, so you're not alone. I will tell you that Snapchat gives me the same frustrations. I suppose it's just a generational thing. Email gave my grandparents fits back in the day. My parents "just don't 'get' it" when it comes to Twitter. That doesn't stop my mom from trying to carry on a conversation on there like it's text messaging though. ;)

Hang in there Bear, technology will win you over at some point. :)

Oh, and there is another '18 commit on the horizon. Donald is all over it and once announced he will post some stuff.

Like what Pierce is doing in this "refilling the cupboard" process. I like the use of JUCO players, and I really hope that he can identify a LHP or two to come in this fall.

JUCO Pitcher Danny Diaz tweeted out he is coming to Texas next year. He was drafted by the Red Sox.

I hate to admit this but...  I love baseball but haven't kept up with college baseball or, more important, Longhorn baseball like I should but am going to make and effort to turn that around.  That said...would you have the time/energy to do a "State of the Program" and positions of need analysis?  I'll admit that I'm a little lazy and haven't searched the board for one so if you've already done one could you point me to the thread?

Baseball Coaches went an picked up a catcher for the 2018 Class, a Caston Peter

Saw him last night, Will have newer footage soon

Once we get through summer and into fall, I'll try to work with the guys here and put something together. It's a bit early to know a whole lot until we see/hear about these guys once they get to Disch.

Here is some newer footage on Caston; This was from yesterday with Sean Allen and Philip Miller in attendance.

Great job Don. That kid has a terrific swing path, very compact should translate well
Thank You

He is a great young man, that I have been fortunate to have seen 4-5 times over the last couple of years.

There are two other catchers that I really like in the class of 2018, I have no idea on how the coaching staff can separate these 3..

You know when a player is elite when you have Jim Schlossnagle and David Pierce out to watch this young man play

Donald out hobknobbing with the rich and famous.

Is Tanner Witt related to Bobby Witt who used to pitch for the Rangers?

I don't think so, now Bobby Witt has a very talented son in the Class of 2019 that has committed to Oklahoma.

Tanner Witt's Dad is the Hitting Coach for the Marlins Triple A team in New Orleans .

RHP Class of 2017, Nico O'Donnell from Churchill High School also plays for the San Antonio Angels during the summer. Just pulled the trigger. Nico had originally been committed to Midland Junior College.

Some old footage from 2016
