Texas at TCU - Game 3

Looking back at yesterday's losses, neither were horribly played - the problem yesterday is that the team was below average in all three phases. At least one of the three must execute at a high level today for the Horns to get out of town with a win.

Through 3 complete, it's apparent that Connor Mayes is going to have to be the one to give the team a chance.

I admit to not watching but a little of game 2 but just my luck to watch the one part where I don't believe we played well at all.

Storm sirens going off at Lupton. Judging from the radar, I'm surprised it took this long.

30 minute minimum delay (lightning).

Did Boswell bunt it foul with two strikes and bunt it foul for a strikeout? Who the heck calls for a bunt with two strikes?!!

@Texas_Baseball: All clear has been given and play should resume at 2:40 assuming no more lightning strikes in the vicinity.

Craig Way seemed to think Boswell took the liberty of bunting with 2 strikes on his own. After seeing his 3-1 show bunt/take, I tend to agree with Way.

Whether bunting is right or wrong, we sure struggle to get them down in fair territory.
That 2nd one from Shaw stays fair, I believe, at the Disch. Natural grass played in TCU's favor there.

Connor Mayes has been the best pitcher on staff this season (and arguably the team MVP at this point). Let that sink in & it's no wonder this team is flirting with .500.
