Our guy Shelby Mast has the Longhorns slated as a 6 seed facing 11 seed St. Bonaventure.

Selection Sunday begins at 4:30 pm on CBS.

Check out Shelby's work over at Bracketwag.com. He's the most accurate bracketologist out there IMO.

Longhorns will begin tournament play as the #6 seed against #11 Northern Iowa in Oklahoma City (West Region).

WTF!?!? with that bracket? I thought conference teams couldn't meet before Regional Finals.  When did  that rule change?

This is from the NCAA policies and procedures

Teams from the same conference shall not

meet prior to the regional final if they played

each other three or more times during the

regular season and conference tournament.

Teams from the same conference shall not

meet prior to the regional semifinals if they

played each other twice during the regular

season and conference tournament.

So if we had played the blowers in the conference tournament we wouldn't be ankle to see them til the Elite 8

From a poster on HD

"Committee made sure Texas would have to go through A&M and OU lol

A&M is almost certainly the worst of the 3 seeds though so even though it would be so much worse to lose, that's probably a good draw. Maybe would rather have WVU though because we always beat them"

Let us hope the Shaka Smart defense and late game close continue. I am optimistic for Texas' basketball future. I am not that psyched about playing N Iowa. They look a bit dangerous to me. However, we are moving in the right direction.

South and Midwest don't look near as daunting as our West region and the East.

This looks like a gauntlet in both the West and East.
