***Super Regional Thread: Tennessee Tech vs Texas***

DfW46b_VQAA0-rj

Kody, (or any Longhorn for that matter,) could be out feeding the needy with Mother Theresa, finding the cure for cancer and establishing World Peace, and there's not an aggie on the planet that would say, "That Longhorn is such a likeable young man."

In other words, water is wet.

I'm interested in who the starting pitcher is tomorrow, great game today. I also wonder if they will pitch to Kody at all tomorrow. It seems to me that TennT could have won the game today had they not pitched to him today. If Texas wants to continue and do well in Omaha, the rest of the lineup has to do more without Kody.

Kody won't see a strike tomorrow on purpose.  Take that to the bank.

I am going to go into more detail in my thoughts and takeaways, but I would go with either Bocchi or Fields with everybody available in relief. Henley only threw 39 pitches, so he could easily throw 50-60 more tomorrow.

May see some Elder, Sawyer, Robinson, McGuire as well.  It will be all-hands on deck .

I have a feeling Pierce knows what he wants to do on the mound, he just doesn't want to reveal it quite yet.
If you don't tell them, they have to study a whole bunch of film.

I'd almost trot out PJ to the pen pre-game to get loose, then let Bocchi or someone else start the game.

Personally, Bocchi is who I would have gone with. He is fresh, pitched last weekend and performed well, and has the stuff to give Tennessee Tech some problems. I have to think Texas would be thrilled to see him get through the order once before turning it over to the bullpen.

So frustrated with the time of this game. Went to yesterday's game and the crowd was great. Hoping we are able to fill the stands despite the start time on a work day.

Top 1

Junior- Strikeout looking. Sinking fastball from Bocchi at 90 MPH

Kaleiwahea- 6-3 groundout. A bit of a high throw to first base but McKenzie gets back on the bag in time.

Strohschein- Popout to Clemens

Easy 1-2-3 inning. Texas to bat

Bottom 1

Hamilton- 6-3 groundout

Ellis- Bunt back to the pitcher. Not where Duke wanted to put that.

Clemens- Single off Chambers glove at 1B and into RF

Zubia- Flyout to CF

0-0 after 1

Top 2

Chambers- (Texas shifting against Chambers again. 3 infielders on the right side) Flyout to LF

Putzig- Flyout to LF

Garza- 4-3 groundout

Another 1-2-3 inning for Bocchi

Bottom 2

Petrinsky- Walk

McKenzie- Pops up the sacrifice bunt and Kaleiwahea hauls it in

Hibbeler- Double off the LF wall. Petrinsky to 3rd

Big opportunity for Texas
