I'm kind of surprised the amount of people here who have such a strong dislike for Strong. I don't think he's Saban-caliber but he's a good coach we'd be fortunate have wearing burnt orange.

My point was even you have alluded that Strong would be a bad hire and we'd be looking for another coach in 5 years. It's as if you want him to fail. Strong has proven he can coach. If he's the choice lets give him a chance. He could be very successful.

The WVU poster + his Louisville buddies think Strong would not make a lateral move to Austin, and will hold out for the upgrade to Florida or Miami.

While, here, we see Strong as a 2nd tier hire. Or possibly even 3rd tier.

If perception is reality then there's your proof.

I don't see how it makes no sense to you...I don't think Strong would be a bad hire. I don't think he would be a good hire. I think he would be more of the same of what we already had. With the other candidates that are being mentioned for the job, why settle for Strong? Seriously would you take Strong over Saban? Or Harbaugh? I wouldn't.

Yes it's very interesting. Even I was laughing at the absurdity of Saban coming here when it was gaining ground earlier in the year.

I will say I doubt anyone in the country besides Louisville fans think Louisville to Texas is a lateral move.

I don't think for one second Strong will be hired by Patterson. That being said, if Patterson does hire Strong, then Patterson should be run out of town on a rail.
