Not a good look for ND to say they didn't block any schools when they really did.

Other interesting point is Evans. I thought for sure he might be done for the season. Evans being only a "few weeks away" certainly sounds more encouraging.

It really looks bad for ND. Everyone knows Strong is a straight shooter. What he says, you can make bank on. ND obviously likes to play with words.

His comment on Jerrod Heard today sounded something like this (paraphrased):

"Heard is a guy that will go for 60 and on the next drive it could go for 60 the other way."

I think Tyrone Swoopes will start against ND unless something drastic changes.  Heard sounds like too much of a gamble right now with a statement like that.

I think Swoopes was always going to start the ND game barring something drastically changing.  What I'm more interested in is who is the QB by the OK game.  This will be the guy that will determine the season for us.

Or you could, instead of leaving out part of what he said, include what he said just before and just after the above quote and perhaps draw a different conclusion. 

Here is the full quote.

When you see the full quote, it is not unreasonable to conclude that he could be telling everyone that Heard will be playing a lot and maybe even starting.

And to follow up on my previous post, you didn't even mention what Strong had to say about Swoope's confidence. It wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement.

Talking about Heard, in addition to the above quotes, Strong said, "He has a lot of confidence. When you look at it, two state championships in high school. He has it. It's a great competition."

Talking about Swoopes, "The thing about Swoopes is he's just got to take care of the football. He's got to believe in himself. Take care of the football and believe in yourself, and feel like you can get it done. I just want to see confidence in Swoopes. When he goes out, that it's his offense and he can be counted on." 

In reference to the quote in my first post, it's kinda like another poster (actually a mod) said on another site, "We're all reading the tea leaves right now, but when he (i.e., Strong) tells you what to be ready for this season...it is hard to ignore."
