I read this with only 2 possibilities:

1. (Most likely) The Raymond side is using this as a way to just get a raise and he is staying put.  Didn't he do this same thing last year with ATM?

2. (Least likely) Raymond sees that he is on a sinking ship with Ogre at the helm and wants to get off at the next port before they head out to open seas.

God I hope it's number 2....well you know what I mean.

It's definitely understandable for anyone who doesn't buy this one since Raymond has coached at LSU or in Louisiana for all but two years in his career, he played at LSU and is a Louisiana native.

However, your Scenario 2 and Hamilton from IT saying this is realistic has me cautiously optimistic.

I hope that is the case.

Wasn't it only a couple of months between committing and de committing?  Seems like he knew the that beforehand.  I'm certain his parents were involved so I don't think you can assume his choice was one of an inexperience teenage kid.  I can see the possibility that TH bad mouthed him.  I find that very believable.  He likely had OSU as a second choice and took it when he felt betrayed.
Again, those were the reasons he gave in his tweets. Fortunately we have a year and stranger things have happened. But we are his " dream school" and we really haven't had much luck wit " Tx. Is my dream school" guys for the last couple decades.

many people who dont follow Ewers realize the kid is a devout Christian, he tweets about it very often, I sure that it had a lot to do with WHO recruited him...not saying that Texas is full of heathens and non believers but I do believe it was a major factor in him flipping to OSU. he must have connected with someone on a spiritual level...
I would have to say it’s probably football related but either way it was 100% TH.

I guarantee Ewers Christian faith isn’t any stronger than Colt McCoy’s.

TFB added that Corey Raymond always has other schools coming after him this time of year, but it could be different this time with everything going on at LSU.

If Raymond were to leave, LSU would have a brand new defensive staff top to bottom.

LSU's Elias Ricks, originally from California, is apparently looking to leave LSU and he'd be a candidate to follow Raymond to Austin.

247 not buying Corey Raymond to Texas right now.

They feel this is simply the annual rumor dance for him and LSU will pay up.

The whole defensive staff at LSU is gone. Raymond is the only one left. Why do you think he wants to stay put and get a raise?  At LSU ogre won’t get too many do overs because he wasn’t the reason they won a natty. That was Burrow and Brady. Sort of like Chizik and Cam Newton. Or jimbo and the unindicted criminal QB.

A little concerned that we hired a DL coach who coached the Lions that gave up the most Rushing TDs in the NFL this season
