Steve Edmond holla

I've known Steve since he was a toddler. I played ball with his Uncle Vic at Daingerfield. When his Uncle Vic was killed in an auto accident right before the state title game in 2009, Steve changed numbers to his uncle Vic's old number for the title game.
He'll bounce back and will finally get some good coaching with the new staff.
Steve is a great kid. Met him after a game his senior year at Daingerfield. One of my buddies introduced him to me and had put Steve up to telling me that he was going to change his commitment to OU. I was devastated when Steve told me that. He saw the disappointment on my face and busted out laughing and told me that he was kidding and no way was he going there. Saw him after a practice last fall and met his mother. He remembered meeting me in Daingerfield after the game. They are great folks. Glad he has fought thru his struggles at UT. Expecting a great season from him this year.

Really curious to see what the new staff does with him.
I never thought he was a linebacker. He always seemed like a DE to me. Maybe Sergio part 2.
His coach told me during Steve's senior year that he committed as a LB but the plan was to eventually move him to DE.

I will be honest I had wrote him off a bit early this year. However once GR got a hold of him and also moved him, he really started improving. By the end he was playing really good and you could start to see that potential coming through. He has a ways to go before I would call hi "great" but he is a solid LB and has all the tools to be a great one. With this new staff I think it could be a perfect storm for him to take that next level.
