How about we stop reporting crap unless the source is CS, Perrin or the UT president. To me, the only reason this looks like a shit show is because of the jumping the gun reporting from annonymous sources.

But, do we even really know where the negotiations were in the process?

Flying the UT president to Tulsa does seem like overkill, IMO. Have we confirmed Fenves and Perrin are going? Or is that just conjecture?

All this does is make the university look unstable and hurt recruiting. If our BMD want "to win" so bad, then why not do everything possible to do just that? We can't get to the top again without allowing a man to coach. If we want to do Strong this was, and it's a public debacle, why would we assume another coach will come in and put up with that? Perception is reality. This is sickening.

Far as I know, what really went on with the negotiations has not been reliably exposed, just reported about with whisper down the lane.

104.9 FM Austin, just stated a three-year contract of increases, in the $600K range.. there and up over three years.

Also that the sticking point as of now was Gilbert bringing his OLine coach who balked at a move.

No confirmtion, as I said earlier, of exactly who is on the plane.
