sounds like Harrison is a no go

If true, the timing is interesting.... about 2.5 weeks before signing day.  His departure would appear to open up scholly headcount when it is needed.

Regardless, it is sad - it seemed to me he was on his way back.  Again, if this report is true, we lose a talented kid that could have helped this team.  I am not sure exactly the reason he is leaving but it is probably because he could not live on the CS core values reservation?

Harrison reminds me of another #1 JUCO guy, Alfio Randall. . .

He was a bust as well.

Good luck to him. . . .

how would anyone know he is "very talented?"

Alfio was a HS kid, not juco. Geoff told me once he could not learn the plays if his life depended on it.

Alfio committed to TEXAS but never qualified. . .. went JUCO. . .became the #1 JUCO in the land (any position) re-committed to TEXAS.

History indicates that the Texas Longhorns choose to focus on high school players to fill out their recruiting classes. Under Mack Brown's watch, Texas has flirted with only a couple junior college prospects, one of which (Alfio Randall-Veasey) was a former Longhorn commitment before spending two years at in-state Blinn Junior College.

Sorry to hear this about Dez, if true.

I guess he just wasn't UT material. He probably would've been better off at Miss St or Auburn.

Randall was originally signed to Texas and didn't qualify I believe. Signed with Texas again after a few JUCO seasons.
Should have read the entire thread before posting, cheese beat me to the punch.

JUCOs are hit and miss. They either make an impact or they sit on the bench.
True but it is interesting that twice TEXAS Landed the #1 JUCO in the nation, both can't miss OT prospects and both were complete busts as players.

Mack Brown told us Harrison would be an NFL left tackle

Returning OLs - thin and thinner

Riser already scratched but not the two listed as seniors.

Also, one more of them might be a scratch, according to the scuttle .....
