Strong is doing his as well.  He should have interviewed both candidates anyways before offering either.

I doubt it. Strong is not going to fly Gilbert down and waste his time. Strong has moved on. GIlbert will be named the new OC soon. In my opinion.

If Cumbie is this torn to take a job at Texas, then I'm not sure Texas should take him.  If he did come, I'm sure he would second guess his decision every time things got uncomfortable.  If I were Texas I would withdraw my offer to him and move on.  I wonder if this has now happened?

As of this morning, I'm of the opinion that Cumbie is coming to be the OC at Texas. I know everyone is freaking out about how long its taking and I admit that its taking a lot longer than I or anyone else wanted it to take but surely if he was gonna say no, it would've been decided by now. He's got 2 programs on the hook and won't be able to continue doing that for long.

Hopefully today is the day we finally hear something, one way or the other.

Cumbie is a family man. It's not just his career, it's moving his family. If he does well another year or two he would be in line for a HC. He may not want to move his family twice in 3 years.
